How to Set Up Your Deluxe Basket Holder™
Step 1. Rotate Hooks
Rotate both top hooks approx. 90 degrees so they face away from the open side of the bracket. This allows the Deluxe Basket Holder™ to fold down in the correct direction when fitted to your Deluxe Handy Line®.
Step 2. Align the Hooks
Hook the Deluxe Basket Holder™ over the end rail of your Deluxe Handy Line® between the 3rd and 4th (outer) lines.
Step 3. Fold Down
Once the Deluxe Basket Holder™ is hooked on correctly, gently fold down the Deluxe Basket Holder™ until flat.
Step 4. Ready to Use
Your new Deluxe Basket Holder™ is ready to use. Your laundry basket is now within easy reach, every wash day.
How Do I Attach the Deluxe Basket Holder™ to my Deluxe Handy Line®?
Attaching the Deluxe Basket Holder™ is quick and simple, with no tools or assembly required. Once your Deluxe Handy Line® is set up on a stable, level surface, the holder simply hooks over the end rail of the frame.
For the best balance, position the holder between the third and fourth outer lines. After hooking it in place, gently fold it down until it sits flat against the frame.
In just a few seconds your Deluxe Basket Holder™ is ready to use, keeping your laundry basket close while you hang, collect, or sort washing. For the best stability, make sure the holder sits securely on the rail before placing your basket on top.
What Laundry Baskets Does It Support?
The Deluxe Basket Holder™ is designed to hold most standard household laundry baskets.
This includes:
- Plastic laundry baskets
- Fabric laundry baskets
- Open-weave laundry baskets
- Flexible laundry tubs
If your basket is a typical household size used for everyday washing, it will generally sit comfortably on the holder.
How Do I Attach the New Rubber Feet?
If you have an existing Deluxe Handy Line® models you may not have rubber feet fitted. When using the Deluxe Basket Holder™, rubber feet help improve stability and grip on hard surfaces.
Your Deluxe Basket Holder™ includes replacement rubber feet, fitting them only takes a few minutes. You'll need a pair of pliers and possibly a hammer.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to fit rubber feet to your existing Deluxe Handy Line®.
Step 1 - Fold your Handy Line® up or rest it on its side so the feet are easy to access.
Step 2 - Remove the existing plastic feet from each leg using pliers.
Step 3 - Firmly push the new rubber feet onto the ends of the legs until they are fully seated. You may need a hammer for this.
Step 4 - You're done! Unfold your Handy Line® and ensure all four feet sit evenly.
FAQs
How much weight can the Deluxe Basket Holder™ support?
When your Deluxe Handy Line® is empty, the recommended maximum basket weight is:
- Up to 10kg for the Deluxe 10 Handy Line®
- Up to 8kg for the Deluxe 8 Handy Line®
If your clothesline already has washing on it, the frame becomes further stabilised and can comfortably support additional basket weight. For best results, always place the holder correctly on the end rail and avoid overloading your basket.
Can I use the Deluxe Basket Holder™ with a Classic Handy Line®?
Yes. The Deluxe Basket Holder™ can also be used with Classic Handy Line® models.
However, it has been specifically designed to complement the Deluxe Handy Line® range, where it integrates most neatly with the frame design.
Do I need tools to install the Deluxe Basket Holder™?
No tools are required. The Deluxe Basket Holder™ simply hooks onto the end rail of your Handy Line® and folds into place.
You can install or remove it in seconds.
Can I leave the Deluxe Basket Holder™ attached when folding my Handy Line®?
For storage, it is best to remove the Deluxe Basket Holder™ before folding your Handy Line®. This helps protect both the holder and the clothesline frame.

Yes. The Deluxe Basket Holder™ is made from marine-grade aluminium and UV-treated materials, designed to handle everyday outdoor conditions in Australia.

Troubleshooting
The top hook has slipped off the tube. How do I fix it?
Remove the hook assembly from the end of the tube and turn it over. Check that the nyloc nut is seated correctly inside the recessed hex section of the hook assembly. The bolt should be threaded into the nut, but only engaged with the standard thread section — not the nyloc locking section.
Place the hook assembly back onto the end of the tube and rotate it until it locks into the slot on the top of the tube. When correctly positioned, you may feel or hear a small click as it engages.
Once aligned, tighten the bolt firmly using a 4mm Allen key. After tightening, give the hook a gentle pull to confirm it is secure. When properly fitted, the hook should not pull off by hand.
My Deluxe Basket Holder™ doesn’t sit perfectly at 90 degrees on my Handy Line®. Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. The exact angle can vary slightly depending on the Handy Line® model you are using. The Deluxe Basket Holder™ is designed to work across different models, so the angle may not sit exactly at 90 degrees on every Handy Line®. This is not a manufacturing fault and will not affect how the holder functions.
My basket feels unstable on the Deluxe Basket Holder™. What should I check?
First check that the Deluxe Basket Holder™ is positioned correctly on the end rail, with the hooks sitting between the third and fourth outer lines. Ensure the holder is folded down fully so it sits flat against the frame, and check that the side straps are not twisted.
For the best stability, place your basket so the weight is evenly distributed and avoid overloading it.
